overview of the session

The path toward resolution starts with a clear plan.

The path toward resolution starts with a clear plan.

The path toward resolution starts with a clear plan.

The $495 strategy meeting is where every legal matter at Locke Family Law begins. Over one hour, you sit down with our Principal, Natalie Locke, to understand your situation and develop a clear plan for what comes next. There is no obligation to proceed with legal services, just an honest look at what your options are, including costs involved.

In that hour, Natalie will:

01

Look at your situation clearly and identify exactly what you are dealing with, legally and practically.

02

Give you an honest assessment of what your matter will realistically cost in money and time.

03

Identify a direct path toward resolution for your circumstances, whether that is negotiation, mediation, or court.

04

Determine whether you qualify for a litigation lender or deferred fee arrangement if upfront costs are a concern.

05

Build the foundations of a strategy for how to move your matter towards a resolution.

Why we call it strategy

Why we call it strategy

The word strategy is intentional.
Here’s why.

The word strategy is intentional. Here’s why.

A consultation implies you'll be heard, assessed and sent a follow-up email with options. That's not what happens when you sit down with Natalie. At Locke Family Law, it's called a strategy session because you leave with something tangible: a clear understanding of your situation, an honest assessment of what resolution will realistically take and a plan for how to get there.

From the moment you sit down, we're working together.

AFTER YOUR SESSION WITH NATALIE

The strategy session is a standalone service and there is no obligation to proceed. You leave with a clear picture of your matter and a plan for what comes next. What you do with that is entirely up to you.

For clients who choose to move forward:

Natalie refines and implements the strategy built in your session, managing the matter from that point through to resolution. That includes negotiations, document drafting, disclosure management, engaging experts where needed, and court representation where necessary.

Pricing is established at or after the session.

Ongoing representation is not published on the website because every matter is different. We will not give you a number until we understand what your matter actually involves.

The goal is always the same.

To move you closer to a resolution. Not an open-ended retainer with no exit in sight. We provide clear milestones, honest cost communication, and a defined path forward.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

  • "I’ve been so lucky to have your help and guidance over the last 12 months with our family court matters. You have gone above and beyond for our family, and I cannot thank you enough for that. For the first time in years, I feel a sense of freedom to raise my family comfortably, happily, and in a safe environment. You don’t realise how much these changes affect a family—how they allow someone to feel free from manipulation and control. For the first time in a long time, I can make my own decisions and live a life with my kids without it being dictated by someone else or feeling like we’re constantly being watched. You have played a big part in this freedom and helped me become a stronger Mum for it. You change families' lives for the better, and you should be so incredibly proud of the job you do."

  • “Dear Natalie, I am just writing to say thank you again for your support in the last couple of years. The other party signed the consent order for property settlement, and the house will be transferred under my name soon. If I didn’t meet you for your advice session 3 years ago, this could not happen. Thank you for guiding me through all the way to here. Regarding parenting, [omitted for privacy]. These are more than I could wish for. You were the only person who advised me these could be possible. I really appreciate all your advice. Thank you again for all your compassion and support.”
